September 2021 Monthly Meeting

Stoney Creek Hotel & Convention Center, 200 W. Albany St., Broken Arrow, OK. Networking hour begins at 5:15pm, dinner at 6:15pm

Our September meeting is scheduled for Monday, September 20.

Thank you Allan Edwards for sponsoring the meeting!

Allan Edwards designs and manufactures pipeline repair systems for the oil and gas industry. Four generations in, they help their customers reduce uncertainty by confronting pipeline anomalies and construction concerns. Their legacy buoyancy control products include geotextile pipeline weights and field-applied concrete coating. When it comes to pipeline repair, they have the products you want to complete the repairs you need. Whether it’s steel repair sleeves, the OmegaWrap™ composite repair systems, or their newly patented induction-heated Compression Sleeve, they’ve got you covered.

This month's speaker will be Dr. Chris Alexander, PE.

Dr. Alexander is the Founder and President of ADV Integrity, Inc. He has more than 25 years’ experience in designing, evaluating, and testing a wide range of technologies, including the use of composite materials in repairing high pressure pipelines and offshore risers. He has been personally involved in assessing the effects of dents and mechanical damage on the structural integrity of onshore and offshore pipelines. His work has involved finite element analysis, in situ monitoring, and full-scale destructive testing.

Dr. Alexander received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University, where as an undergraduate student he was a member of the Corps of Cadets, Ross Volunteer Company, and Drum Major in the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band. He is also a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Texas. He has authored more than 130 technical papers and has made presentations internationally on various subjects.

Dr. Alexander spends time outside of work with his wife, Tanya, and their three children and son-in-law. He is an avid reader, Bible teacher, enjoys running, periodic golfer, flies radio-controlled airplanes, past Chairman of the Rosehill Christian School Board, and is an Elder at Magnolia Bible Church. He is author of Be the Beans and co-hosts the Business by the Books podcast with his daughter, Ashley.
